4 plants Dan is thinning out Fall 2025

It’s not huge quantities, but I can share with Brian in early September (don’t transplant in high heat)

1.Russian sage –gets huge…it’s from Asia but gardeners accept it well here

2.Monarda / Bee Balm (low center is dwarf version…I love the full size but this one is trying to fill in if i get it some space)

3.Agastache –great native. Pollinators love it. Leaves smell like licorice.

4.Obedient plant (lower left) many flowers and a very hardy plant. We call it disobedient because it’s very aggressive. This is my 2nd time adding it to a garden even after swearing it off forever. My excuse is that these botanists have too many names for the same plant...False Dragonhead!

6 perennials to compliment your Echinacea, Milkweed, Butterfly Weed:

1.Yarrow—all three colors here (I think that’s “all” the colors)

2.Baptisia -gets huge… usually clearance sales mid-summer after bloom

3.Salvia (not shown)– several different purple/pink colors I think it grows ok from seed

4.Hollyhock (below)  – lots of self-seeding, but easy to pull unwanted volunteers

5.Liatris (below) -- bees love it and it's spreading this year

6.Anemone—native that colonizes and covers a lot of ground pretty quickly
